Brinkman takes on the role of studio head at 31st Union following the dismissal of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' underwhelming initial reveal last fall.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer notified staff about this strategic move through an official communication, which highlighted that playtesting had shown the need for a more defined game identity.
The president expressed that the developers is now refining the project with a renewed approach, aiming to address community desires.

The news echoes a comparable step taken by the publisher in August, when they hired Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.
